The main kit permits studying main principles of polarization. It is possible to recover the source polarization states, to check Malus’ laws and to analyze the effects of different retardation plates on polarization.The additional active medium set permits the visualization of other polarization phenomena such as mechanical stress effects, torsions and folds. Brewster’s law checking and Fresnel’s reflection coefficients measurement can be done with the additional Brewster set permitting a study qualitative as well as quantitative.
